As voters head to the polls today in Mississippi, Senator Barack Obama is rejecting a Clinton campaign olive branch. Former President Bill Clinton floated an idea on Sunday that his wife, Senator Hillary Clinton and Obama would make a dream team ticketfor the Democratic party.
Of course, his wife will be the President in this scenario.
For the man who currently graces the cover of Rolling Stone looking quite God-like, the idea of being second was rediculous. Obama quickly rejected that idea saying that he was not running to be number two. He was running to be the President of the United States.
The Senator from Illinois also questioned the idea as he is currently the one holding the lead in pledged delegates. Obama also cited the fact he has won twice as many states as Clinton and the idea he should be second is preposterous.
Mississippi will likely serve as another victory for Obama when the polls close today. He is heavily favored in the Southern state to further add to his delegate count.
