Meghan McCain, daughter of Senator John McCain, appeared on Good Morning America Tuesday to speak about her new book entitled Dirty Sexy Politics. In it, she criticizes Sarah Palin who was the former Alaska Governor and her father’s running mate in the 2008 election.

Meghan McCain alleges that Sarah Palin was a cause of stress, drama and uncertainty on the campaign trail although she doesn’t blame Palin for her father’s loss. She feels that her father lost to Obama because “Obama was unbeatable” and had the support of the media while presenting himself as the stark opposite of Bush. In her book, McCain applauds Palin for infusing the campaign with “momentum and enthusiasm” and is speaking out now because she has conflicting feelings towards Palin. McCain admits that she referred to Palin as the “Time Bomb” who could blow up at any given moment although she admires Palin’s ability to inspire women.

Meghan McCain is no stranger to controversy herself. Back in October, the 25-year-old received a lot of criticism over tank top pictures flaunting her breasts that she posted on Twitter and later apologized for. She resides in Phoenix and is John and Cindy McCain’s oldest adult child.

Whether you voted for John McCain or not, Dirty Sexy Politics appears to be an interesting read. It is being marketed as a bold and matter-of-fact account of the 2008 campaign. Is this the case? Let us know what you think below.
