Whether you like it or not, the 2010 season of the NFL kicks off tonight with a rematch of last season’s NFC Title Game as the Saints and Vikings get set to duke it out.

And, yes, Brett Favre is going to be playing as long as he doesn’t retire before kickoff.

Nearly every American is pushed into at least casual NFL season status as the sport has cemented itself clearly as the nation’s pastime.

So, much like the Super Bowl struts around like it’s own Federal holiday, the first game of the season may as well be placed on all calendars.

But, enough of all the hubbub, who’s gonna win?

Minnesota comes into the game with injuries on their top flight offense. Top WR Sidney Rice had hip surgery and his expected to be out for at least two months. Percey Harvin had his own issues this summer.

New Orleans will be a little distracted as they raise their Super Bowl banner tonight. The saints have to avoid the Super Bowl hangover that has ruined many past champions seasons. Via Cover the Number

The Saints seem to be the favorite and should be for many of their games this season.

Even if Reggie Bush has to give back his Heisman.
