It feels like only yesterday when Dax Shepard was relegated to “starring” on Ashton Kutcher‘s Punk’d.
Now, the affable actor is taking a shot at some serious roles. Not to say that “Without a Paddle,” “Baby Mama” and ”Employee of the Month” weren’t serious dramas, I’m just sayin’.
Dax Shepard has been taking a break from his usual comedic identity and delving into more dramatic roles. His latest project “The Freebie” premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January and will open in limited theaters September 17. Via Long Island Press
According to the Long Island Press, “The Freebie” is an indie film about a married couple who decide to have one night of infidelity in the hopes that it will reignite passion in their own sex life. Kate Aselton co-stars and directs the film. Interestingly, it was shot in less than two weeks and had little to no script, forcing the actors to call upon their improvisational skills.
