Ahh, Susan Boyle, how we love thee.

No matter your take on the former “Britain’s Got Talent” contestant, her rise to fame is proof that pure unadulterated talent can sometimes take the place of well-coiffed hair and sex appeal.

To be sure, Boyle recently got her wish to sing for the Pope when she belted out the Catholic hymn “Make Me A Channel of Your Peace” at the park in Glasgow where Pope Benedict XVI was saying his goodbyes to church leaders, according to Celebrity Gossip.

“It’s something I’ve always dreamed of, it’s something I’ve always wanted to do, and here I am, finally getting the chance,” Boyle told Sky News.

No word on whether or not the Pope is a fan.
