Former Spice Girl-turned-fashion-icon-turned-designer Victoria Beckham took the runway with her new collection that would make Christina Hendricks from Mad Men proud.

Said the excruciatingly thin wife of a very hot soccer player, “I want to celebrate a woman’s curves. I love a woman’s body and I want to make women feel and look fantastic.”

Hmm… but only on other people’s bodies right there, Twiggy? Posh Spice is known for her skintight outfits that show off her lean, mean fat-free baby makin’ machine of a body. Is this her way of making normal size women of the world stop hating her so much?

Along with the clothing line that she will undoubtedly never wear because the clothes are too big, Beckham will also be carrying a line of size zero handbags. I kid.

The international superstar presented her collection for Spring/Summer 2011 this week and the show was opened by a line of handbags. Beckham’s collection is defined by elegance and style. No fuzz, no spectacle, just an enjoyable occasion to watch the newest creations which Victoria Beckham refers to saying: “I wanted to focus on shapes and curves and I looked at the art of Brancusi”.

Again, not her own shapes and curves, because that would require her to eat carbs and smile once in a while. At least she had a sense of humor and some self-awareness when she visited the zaftig ladies of The View:

I just want to celebrate a woman’s curves. Although, you’re right, I don’t have that many myself.

And with that, Barbara Walters shoved a Twinkie down her throat and told her to STFU.

  2. Be nice! She has curves :( Somewhere…. I’m sure of it!

  3. In her head, she has curves – that’s what makes her so loopy.
