Ahh, Glee. The show we love or is it the show we love to hate? Either way, it keeps me glued to my TV. After an annoyingly long 3-month hiatus, season two of Glee kicked off last night — and was worth the wait. Between the new songs and Sue Sylvester’s quick tongue, we just couldn’t get enough.
The episode starts off after regionals where New Directions had a less than stellar finish. The group does a killer rendition of Jay-Z/Alicia Keys’ “Empire State of Mind” in the school courtyard. No one seemed to notice except Oprah singing sensation Charice, who plays a foreign exchange student. Also, Coach Ken had a nervous breakdown and has been replaced by Shannon Bieste (Dot Jones), whose first item on the agenda is to convince Principal Figgins to slash the budgets of both glee club and the Cheerios so more money can go towards football. Mr. Schue and Sue vow to take down their new mutual enemy.
Other Glee news:
-Rachel and Finn have been dating all summer.
-No more baby bump for Quinn. She gave birth at the end of last season.
-Tina bailed on Artie and cozied up with the other Asian, Mike Chang.
-Brittany is still lacking brain cells and admits that while everyone assumed she went on vacation, she was just lost in the sewers.
Check out the season two premiere in time for next week’s episode. Episode two of Glee is the Britney Spears tribute, which is sure to please.
