Teresa Parker’s body, missing since 2007, has finally been found.

In 2009, Teresa Parker’s husband, Sam Parker, was convicted of killing his wife even though police were never able to locate her remains.

Theresa Parker was a 9-1-1 dispatcher and Sam was a LaFayette, Georgia, police officer at the time of the murder.

A farmer going over the area in Chattooga County, came across Teresa’s bones.

According to Walker County Sheriff Steve Wilson, the investigative team received a call Monday from a farmer who had been combing an area in Chattooga County near the state border of Alabama for driftwood and instead found a jawbone.

Even though it had been quite some time since her disappearance, numerous law enforcement agencies have continued to work together to investigate the case and were searching another area at the time when they received the call.

“It was just a miracle that he stumbled upon it and reported it to the [Chattooga County] sheriff’s office,” Wilson said. Via CBS News

Sam Parker is serving life in prison for the murder.

Hopefully, the findings will be able to give Teresa Parker’s family more closure.
