Cameron Crowe isn’t Almost Famous, he’s totally famous, but his wife, Nancy Wilson, still wants to divorce him.

She had him at “goodbye.”

According to CBS News, Wilson, singer-guitarist for the rock band Heart, filed for divorce from the writer-director after more than 20 years of marriage.

Wilson cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the divorce, which was filed Sept. 16, according to CBS News.

Wilson and Crowe married in 1986 and have twin 10-year-old sons. Wilson is seeking joint custody.

Crowe is known for directing films such as Jerry Maguire and Say Anything. He won an Oscar for writing the screenplay for the film Almost Famous.

The court filings say the two separated in 2008.

Sad? Sure.

I always wondered about people who divorce so late in life. I mean, sure, they are smart enough that they realize they can’t go on anymore together, but, do you look back on it and go, “Wow, if I knew 20 years ago that I was going to get divorced now, would I have gotten married in the first place?”

I guess the answers could range from, “Well, we were able to have those years together that we enjoy as memories now and obviously have two children whom we love” to something like, “Wow, what a waste of time.”

I’m thinking they are a bit more adult than the latter. Either way, good luck to both of them.
