A Rutgers University freshman has reportedly committed suicide after his roommate and another student caught him on webcam with another man.

According to reports, before jumping off the George Washington Bridge around 8:50 p.m. on September 22, two witnesses told police they saw 18-year-old Tyler Clementi standing on the south walk of the bridge near the NY side.

It is believed that Clementi’s roommate, Dharun Ravi, posted the alleged incident on his Twitter page on September 19, three days before the freshman committed suicide.

‘Roommate asked for the room till midnight. I went into Molly’s room and turned on my webcam. I saw him making out with a dude. Yay.’ Ravi wrote. Via Greenwich Diva

Clementi’s post on his Facebook page, dated Sept. 22 at 8:42 p.m. read, “Jumping off the gw bridge sorry.”

According to Greenwich Diva, Ravi and Molly Wei have been arrested and charged with two counts each of invasion of privacy. In addition, Ravi, 18, was charged with two more invasions of privacy counts for trying to arrange the airing of a second session on September 21.
