Everybody seems to be wondering who that girl from Glee was that danced with the snake on Tuesday’s Britney Spear’s themed show. Well, her name is Heather Morris, a dancer in real life that was snatched from a Beyonce tour to join the cast of the hit show. Wise move.

Morris plays ditzy cheerleader ‘Brittany S. Pierce’ on the show and performed a rendition of I’m A Slave 4 You while holding a snake around her neck, paying homage to the real Spears who did the same thing back in 2001 at the MTV Music Awards.

During a Glee club practice session, Morris’ character revealed “My name is also Britney Spears. Brittany S. Pierce. I’ve lived my entire life in Britney Spears’ shadow,” and during one of the anesthesia induced dream sequences the episode saw the Toxic superstar make a small cameo appearance. The 23-year-old Morris seemingly impresses the pop princess with her performance, as Spears used her Twitter page to compliment the actress, saying, “Awww Heather Morris is sooo cute! Brittany S Pearce. Ha! She was so fun to work with and was really sweet in person” ( via contactmusic.com).

Never really having acted before, Morris quickly rose from background dancer teaching the Single Ladies dance to Kirk, the one-line zinger queen. This, of course, makes all those hard working NYU drama students who flock to L.A. to ‘make it’ seethe with jealously. Well, maybe you should have swapped a few Shakespeare classes for hip hop dancing. Just sayin’.

Here’s a fun video of Ms. Morris and her quick rise into Gleek-dom.

  1. I LOVE HER. Saw her in person when Glee came to Phoenix and she is ah-mazing. Better than Spears? UmmmmmYES

  2. I LOVE the headline! Plus, I thought the Glee Britney was a much better dancer than the real one. And she had panties!

  3. Yay for panties!!

  4. Her dancing, which is heads above the rest of the cast, has been a highlight of the show for me from the beginning. I was disappointed not to see her the the Hit Me One More Time sequence. Glad to see her finally getting some recognition

  5. I agree, Nesdon! I feel the same way. Heather Morris is definitely a highlight of the Glee show every Tuesday for me too.
