Good for you!
Let The Wire help you pick which flick is up your alley…
Opening this weekend:
The Social Network – This flick is being hailed as the “movie of the year” by some. But it’s kinda funny to think of how low the traffic on Facebook will be this weekend because everyone’s out watching a movie about Facebook. (Starring: Jesse Eisenberg as Mark Zuckerberg, the new Spiderman and that guy from N*sync.)
Jonesing for Twilight? Try Let Me In, about a bullied young boy who befriends a young female vampire that lives in secrecy with her guardian. It has that kickass girl who played Hit-Girl in Kickass, too.
In the mood for a scare? Well, you’re on your own with Case 39. The previews for this look super creepy, so I have yet to watch them. All I know is that Renee Zellweger stars as Emily, a social worker who tries (and most likely fails) to help a troubled young girl with the help of hottie psychiatrist Bradley Cooper.
If Social Network is sold out, nerds can go see Freakonomics, based on the best-selling book about incentives-based thinking. Sexy!
If you’re looking to cry – go see Secreteriat, in select theaters on Saturday. Any movie with a horse is required to make you shed some tears.
