Just as paparazzi trample each other to get the perfect up-the-panty shot of Britney or catch Lindsay in the act of breaking yet another law, sports photogs aim to capture once-in-a-lifetime moments, too.

At this weekend’s Ryder Cup, it happened for Mark Pain of The Daily Mail.

Check out that ball flying right at his camera! You might be thinking, poor camera, but Pain’s probably thinking, cha ching!

It’s not staged or Photoshopped either — that’s actually a very angry looking Tiger Woods hitting a golf ball straight at the camera.

It happened by mistake, as Pain just happened to be in the perfect position on the 18th hole when Woods hit the ball right into the camera. Woods didn’t even raise a stink, like he’s been known to do in the past. He knew he flat out messed up and nailed the poor guy’s probably very pricey camera.

On another note, Tiger should really smile more in photos. If he’s really looking to rebuild his image, he should show those pearly whites!

Caveat: I’m not much of a golf fan. I just thought the picture was RAD.

Here it is again, blown up:

  4. Agreed, he is a tad out of place.
