While there is no official launch date, Google TV’s debut is not too far off. Google TV will revolutionize regular TV as we know it and will incorporate internet, media, and regular TV into one at the touch of a button.
Bloggers have described Google TV as a “combination of hardware developed and engineered in association with Sony, Logitech, and Intel that is designed to unite the Web experience with the television experience, something tech companies have been trying to do for at least a decade.” To sweeten the deal, new partners have come on board with CNBC, Turner, HBO, the NBA, Pandora, Napster, and Twitter leading the pack. Google TV is all about combining internet browsing with comfort — and if anyone can do it, it’s Google.
Google TV is bringing the internet right into your living room. At first glance, other companies have seemingly done similar things in the past, but Google is not your average company. With the support of the top names in the business, Google TV is set to make a big splash leaving everyone else in the dust. Google said, “One of our goals with Google TV is to finally open up the living room and enable new innovation from content creators, programmers, developers and advertisers.” Will they pull it off or not? We’ll see sometime this fall.
