The Real Housewives Of Atlanta Uncorks The Vengeance… And The Wine

On last night’s season three premiere of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, it took about three minutes for the claws to come out and about 30 seconds for the vino to start flowing. Booze and bitching go hand in hand with these (im)proper southern belles, but that’s why we like watching them so much, no?

This season brings back the oldies but goodies, Kim, Kandi, Sheree and NeNe, and adds two new gals to the mix: attorney to the stars Phaedra Parks and supermodel Cynthia Bailey (though, we didn’t even meet this leggy broad in last night’s episode).

Phaedra took center stage for the most part, but that doesn’t mean the other gals played second fiddle to her. NeNe didn’t waste one second of airtime going all kinds of crazy, freaking out on her fabu friend, Dwight, over something he may or may not have done (you just have to watch the episode — I get dumber every time explain it) while her now BFF Kim had her back.

‘I’m just glad it wasn’t me’ said the once strangled by NeNe’s bare hands star.

Now the ladies are bonafide celebs and tabloid darlings — as confirmed by the scene where Kim’s confession in a magazine that she enjoys the company of other ladies. Plus, it seems that all the housewives are following Kim’s lead and becoming pop stars and actors in training, so I’m sure this season will produce even more ear shattering tunes sure to scare your dog off.

I’m personally curious to see how Cynthia plays with the other, er, how do I say this, heftier housewives. I’m sure they’ll instantly hate her for being thin and beautiful. After all, that’s the Southern way.

The show airs each Monday at 9:00 on Bravo.

  1. I read this twice and still don’t understand one word of it.

  2. You must have been drinking wine with the housewives!
