Have you seen an Android phone? What’s not to like? Whether you have an HTC, Samsung, or the Motorola Droid version, consumers everywhere agree that Android smartphones are the coolest things to have hit the market since, well, the iPhone. Now, business professionals are especially happy because with the launch of the Motorola Droid Pro, they too can join in the fun.
Motorola, Inc. announced the Droid Pro launch Tuesday night in San Francisco and will mark the 22nd Android phone the company sells. In the past six months, Android smartphones have been the number one sellers in the United States. As expected, Motorola co-CEO Sanjay Jha is banking on the Android success. He told MarketWatch, “I can tell you today that all of our energy is going towards Android.”
And why shouldn’t they focus on Android and the launch of the Droid Pro? I will state again: THESE PHONES ARE COOL. Many of the apps are free, the browser can’t be beat, the screens are crystal clear, and until you try one out for yourself, you won’t really know for sure, will you?
The Droid Pro will be available through Verizon Wireless and features a QWERTY keyboard which is reminiscent of a Blackberry. Unlike Blackberry, this newest Droid gadget is equipped with Android 2.2, Adobe Flash Player 10.1, a 1 GHz processor, and a multi-touch crystal clear 3.1-inch screen not to mention a 5.1 megapixel camera.
Will the Droid Pro take off? It’s too soon to tell, but all signs point to………….YES!
