Forbes released the 2010 Rich List not long ago and we learned that only 8 American billionaires are under 40. Of the 8, 3 of them are Facebook co-founders. Of the 3, Dustin Moskovitz is the world’s youngest with a net worth of $1.4 billion. At only 26 years old, Moskovitz founded Facebook along with Mark Zuckerberg who is only 8 days older but a lot richer, with a net worth of $6.9 billion. Former chief technology officer, Dustin Moskovitz, left Facebook in 2008 to start Asana, a company that “builds software that helps people work together more effectively.”
Asana has attracted some of Facebook’s former movers and shakers including Justin Rosenstein who was Facebook’s tech lead and engineering manager. For now, Asana is nowhere near Facebook’s level of fame. In fact, Moskovitz’s fortune comes from his 6 percent stake in Facebook.
So what is Asana up to? From their blog:
We’re starting by building collaborative task and project management software. It will be free of charge, delivered over the Web, and initially suitable for both individuals and <50 person teams/companies.
Good news is that Asana is hiring. They offer free yoga which makes sense since Asana is also a yoga body position. Cool eh?
