Team Jacob, unite!
First there was that Kayne song about being a giant (but accidental) douche, now Taylor Swift is pouring her tween heart out again with her new song, “Back To December.” This time, though, its’ even more personal.
You all know that Taylor Swift and Taylor Lautner used to go steady, possibly make out and definitely make crappy movies together. (Did anyone actually like Valentine’s Day?)
But, like most Hollywood starlets, these May-December romances never last. And this one fizzled out too … in December, naturally. Now Taylor has written a song about how she wishes she could get that month back. And possibly her werewolf ex-boyfriend.
“Back To December” has the makings of a great pop ballad that tween everywhere will play on repeat for many, many months to come.
According to Babble, in describing the meaning behind the “Back To December” lyrics, Taylor says that the person she wrote the song for “deserved” it, because he deserved an apology from her. She adds that this person was “perfect” to her in every way, and that she was very “careless” with the relationship.
Read what you will into these lyrics:
It’s like I was back on December
Where everything was cold
And I need your warmth and your
arms wrapped around me baby..
Okay, so they definitely made out. Isn’t puppy love cute?
