It seems like only yesterday when the world was asking “Who The Heck is Sarah Palin?” Unless you live in Alaska or went to one of the six colleges Sarah Palin attended, you wouldn’t even think twice about the mom of six.
Now, it seems, another lady is gearing up to take over where Palin left off.
Kristi Noem, a Tea Party challenger for the House of Representatives, is making her name known by the staggering amount of money she’s raked in from fund-raising over the past three months. Though not a mom of six , this mom of three has raised $1.1 million for efforts, twice the amount incumbent Democratic Congresswoman Stephanie Herseth Sandlin collected.
By the way, Noem lives in South Dakota. The dollar stretches a lot farther there than in other states. (Even Alaska!) I should know, I was born there. If doesn’t take a lot to get the people’s attention either, which with that kind of money, Loem should have no trouble getting.
Now, the rest of the world wants to know just who this Noem lady is.
She’s a rancher by trade and the challenger to Rep. Stephanie Herseth-Sandlin (D-SD) who wants to reduce federal spending and repeal the health care reform law. And to draw the inevitable Palin parallel, she’s also an avid hunter (via Babble).
This is bad news for moose and buffalo alike. And for the rest of the country, too, I’m guessing.
