Good girl Taylor Swift has a new single that will be stuck in your head for days. You can’t help but love her, and in the new single Back To December, she does the right thing and apologies to an old flame (Taylor Lautner maybe?). In the heartfelt ballad, she admits she made a mistake.

Taylor’s lyrics go like this:

Your guard is up and I know why/ Because the last time you saw me is still burned in the back of your mind/You gave me roses, and I left them there to die/ So this is me swallowing my pride standing in front of you/ Saying I’m sorry for that night and I go back to December all the time.

Swift admits that she didn’t treat this mystery ex very well and explains during an interview, “The person I wrote this song about deserves this. This is about a person who was incredible to me, just perfect to me in a relationship, and I was really careless with him… This is a song full of words I would say to him.”

Better late than never, right?

Taylor Swift talks a little about the song in this video:

Back To December is available now on iTunes. Taylor Swift’s new album Speak Now drops nationwide October 25th. Will you be picking it up?
