It seems the whole world is watching as the rescue efforts in Chile stay in full swing since rescuing the first trapped Chilean miner last night. They are now up to #26 out of 33, which is very good news for the families of these men who have been trapped for months deep underground.
It’s the flag seen around the world waving almost as much as the Chilean miners themselves as they emerge from darkness into the arms of their loved ones.
In some cases, some miners had a couple extra arms to fall into. In a bold move, one rescued miner invited his wife, Marta Salinas, and his mistress do be present as he was rescued. This has caused a media frenzy around the world.
But hey, can you blame the guy? He’s been trapped underground with 32 other duded for months, he deserves a little sugar from anyone who will give it! The wife, however, was justifiably pissed off and chose not to attend his rescue, as she just found out about the “other woman” in the past few weeks.
Salinas discovered her husband’s lover during a vigil when she spotted the woman crying and calling out his name. Furious and confused, Rojas’ wife of 20 years refused the invitation to his final rescue this afternoon and said she won’t be watching it on TV either. “I am happy because he made it, it’s a miracle of God. But I’m not going to see the rescue,” she stated to a reporter. She is not interested in attending the rescue after learning that her husband had also invited his mistress of 10 years, Susana Valenzuela. “He asked me to, but it turns out that he also asked the other lady, and I am a decent woman. Things are clear: it’s her or me,” she confessed (via Modern Mom).
It seems that a bunch of other “mistresses” and long lost lovers are stepping forward in an attempt secure some money that the government is handing out to aid these men and their families. Now is not the time to have skeletons in the closet, boys!
