7-year-old Detroit-area girl Kathleen Edward suffers from Huntington’s disease and was bullied by an adult neighbor, but something good is coming from it. She is hopping in a limo and going on a shopping spree at a toy store in Ann Arbor. According to The Detroit News, Kathleen Edward got to pick out a ton of toys for herself and other kids at a local hospital.
Unfortunately, Kathleen Edwards is dying from Huntington’s disease and 33-year-old Jennifer Petkov from a neighboring town decided it would be appropriate to post Kathleen’s picture with here eyes closed and tongue out above a set of crossbones on Facebook. Talk about class…
Sadly, Kathleen knows all to well what it is like to die from the disease. Her own mother died last year at the age of 24. Classless Petkov also posted a picture of the mother’s image cradled by the Grim Reaper. When asked why she did it, Petrov responded like she had a major chip on her shoulder. “Personal satisfaction because it rubs their a** raw.” Wow, lady, you know what karma is right?
After news of the bullying spread in their community, generous neighbors have donated over $17,000 for Kathleen Edward’s family and other sick kids.
According to Mayo Clinic, Huntington’s disease “is a progressive, degenerative disease that causes certain nerve cells in your brain to waste away. As a result, you may experience uncontrolled movements, emotional disturbances and mental deterioration.”
