Indianapolis Colts’ 23-year-old punter, Pat McAfee, was arrested for public intoxication after making the wise decision to take a swim in a downtown canal at around 6 a.m.

Police said McAfee had a BAC of 0.15% when they arrested him for swimming in the canal, which is near Indianapolis’ nightlife district. (Who knew they had one?)

McAfee is probably going to get beat up by his teammates today. Just sayin.

This is the perfect opportunity for me to reveal my plan for any son I have in the future.

Instead of allowing him to play sports with their friends, I’m going to ONLY teach him how to punt. That’s all he will be allowed to do while taking breaks for school and possibly some birthday parties.

Why? Because punters do ONE thing and make lots of money for it, then they retire. Also, most punters don’t even start out as punters. They get into it when they are crappy at soccer or something. So, I figure if I start him early enough, he’s going to be the Tiger Woods of punting. Hopefully minus all the sexting.

McAfee is the fourth Colts player to be on alcohol-related charges this year. Team president Bill Polian says the team will gather facts before imposing discipline.
