I WAS GOING TO WRITE THE POST IN ALL CAPS but decided against it because it’s just too annoying to read. You’re welcome.
Anyway, today is International Caps Lock Day and has internet users around the globe praising the ever-popular caps lock key. Apparently it has been celebrated since 2004. This left me wondering: Who comes up with these asinine “days?” What is next? ‘International I’m Bored So Let’s Invent A Day’ Day?
When we think of all caps online, we think of yelling at someone, so why do we need to celebrate this? Other than the occasional USA, PGA, NBA, NFL, etc., caps aren’t anything special that need to be celebrated. I mean unless you like yelling…
If you don’t believe me, someone created an “official” International Caps Lock Day website that is riddled with bad spelling and is plain weird. They say that International Caps Lock Day is:
Caps lock day is a celebration of life and forever screaming text for all eternity and love.
If I see a greeting card for International Caps Lock Day, I MIGHT JUST START YELLING!
