You know, solving puzzles before the nervous Wheel of Fortune contestant on TV screen makes a move or shouting the right question when they answer it wrong. And, of course, saying “I could do that.”
But, even the cockiest armchair player would be amazed at what a young woman accomplished on Friday’s episode of Wheel of Fortune, leaving audiences stunned and Pat Sajek speechless.
Contestant Caitlin Burke somehow managed to solve a 27-letter, 7-word puzzle with only the letter “L” and an apostrophe to go on. Not only that, but the actual phrase she solved (which you can try to figure out for yourself in the video below) applies perfectly to her situation (via Yahoo!).
Take a look as Caitlin Burke solves the Wheel of Fortune puzzle with just one letter:
Wow. Would you have figured that out? She does seem a little to chill to not make folks suspicious. But, hey, like she said: She had a good feeling!
The lucky Wheel of Fortune winner Burke snagged a Caribbean vacation worth about $6500, but will forever live in an infamy on the web with her amazing win, which she casually brushed off.
According to Yahoo!: While it’s not unusual for a contestant to solve a puzzle with only one letter as a clue, it usually happens with a much shorter sentence or phrase. And while Caitlin had the benefit of ruling out the letter “R,” eliminated by a previous wheel-spinner, her triumph is incredible enough to have some wondering if she could have found a way to cheat. The simplest explanation, of course, is that she’s just that good. (Or that lucky.)
Traditionally, when a Wheel of Fortune video goes viral, its because someone made an epically terrible mistake that is just too cringe worthy not to watch. So, it’ since too see a game show moment where the reason it’s huge news is because someone came out a big winner, not the other way around.
Way to go, Caitlin!
