Rumors in the tech world are getting too hard to ignore. Various media outlets say that later this morning, social networking genius Facebook is launching Facebook e-mail which will give Gmail and Hotmail a run for their money. Over at Facebook, the e-mail launch is called the “Gmail Killer” and “Project Titan.”

Facebook has over 500 million users who will all be able to get an e-mail address with the @facebook.com suffix. Facebook is totally integrating the online experience. Watch out AOL, Hotmail and Gmail….seriously.

I don’t know about you, but Facebook e-mail seems like overkill. Depending on your Facebook settings, messages and activity can get sent to your primary email address. And unless you’re living in the dark ages, you probably get e-mail as well as Facebook on your phone. So Facebook e-mail seems like just another inbox you’ll have to check, although having an @facebook.com e-mail is kind of cool.

Or maybe Facebook e-mail is a “in your face GMail!” kind of launch and they’re doing this just because they can. Recently, Gmail banned users from importing Facebook contacts. Regardless, Facebook kind of rules the world so I’m sure Facebook e-mail will be a hit.

  1. OMG i just heard about this on the radio. Facebook email? Facebook is seriously going to take over the world.

  2. Agreed, Diane – I think this is overkill. I do like the new addition on Facebook that happened over the weekend, though – have you seen the SEE THIS FRIENDSHIP button on Facebook? It gives you the history of your communication with each of your FB friends. Kinda cool.

  3. Thanks for sharing your ideas. I’d personally also like to say that video games have been ever evolving.
Modern tools and inventions have aided create reasonable and interactive games.

All these entertainment games were not as sensible when the concept was being used.
Just like other styles of technological innovation, video games also have had to grow through many years.

This itself is testimony towards fast growth of video games.
