Thanksgiving is the time of year when overeating is not frowned upon and families come together from different parts of the country to bond and visit, or act like they want to do those things at least.

When all the family is finally together and no one has had a meltdown or unpleasant experience from going through TSA security body scanners and pat downs, there are many ways to bond, including playing Thanksgiving games.

There are many games families can play over Thanksgiving. Whether your family has a plethora of board games they take out on Turkey Day or a classic, American football game everyone participates in, these game ideas will be sure to bring your family together, as long as there’s no sore losers.

Thanksgiving Trivia

Play this game by bringing out a trivia board game or making up your own trivia questions and answers with a Thanksgiving theme. This will bring you out of your food-coma and get your brain motivated and churning.

This is obviously a favorite among many people as personalities are exercised and brought out and laughs are had by all. As long as this game is taken lightly and in a joking manner, everyone is sure to have some fun, comical, bonding time!

The all-American-sport is classic game many families not only watch, but some even play this on Thanksgiving. Whether all the boys and men head out to the park to play or the whole family gets in on it, it’s definitely something to do right before you eat. Imagine the appetite you’ll work up!

Scavenger Hunt

This game may take some time, but with a small, fun list of items to find or things to do, it will go by fast with how much fun everyone will be having. This game is perfect for the kids in the family as they will be kept entertained for quite some time with this game while Thanksgiving dinner is being prepared.

All of these game ideas can be played before or after dinner, and something to do before Black Friday the next day (or early morning)! Even Cyber Monday can get tiresome!
