Just because Black Friday offers out of this world insane deals sure to save you money, not all of them are what you might think. You may be so delirious from waking up at 4AM or have a concussion from fighting your way through the sea of crazed shoppers, that yo might buy a Black Friday deal that will leave you in the red.
Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Take a look at the Top Five Worst Black Friday Deals and save yourself some green.
Televisions, laptops and cameras, oh my! Don’t get suckered into a bad Black Friday Deal. There are deceptive deals out there that, if you don’t pay attention, could be a total rip-off.
From bad to REALLY bad:
5. Apple Products
Every early adopter or tech geek on the planet is an Apple fan, and that is why you’ll never see anything on sale in those vast, state of the art stores. If Apple does throw you a bone and give you a deal, it’s usually very small and barely pays for the tax of the $3,000 Mac you just maxed out your Vias with. Don’t wast your green, stay away from Apple.
However, if you MUST buy an iPod, Walmart, ToysRUs and Meijer are giving you a free $50 gift-card with the purchase of an iPod Touch.
4. Sylvania 7″ Netbook ($94, CVS)
A computer for LESS than $100?! Wow, what a steal, right? wrong. It runs on Windows CE, an ancient operating system. And, you can’t install any normal programs on it. Lastly, at that price, it will most likely be sold out by the time you get your foot in the door to people who will end up regretting it.
3. Augen 7″ Color Touch Screen Tablet PC ($139, KMart)
“Considering Augen “accidentally” used a pirated version of the market app when they initially released an Android tablet a few months back and reviews of that tablet were far from spectacular, I’d recommend steering very clear from the item. It isn’t worth the trouble nor the cost. It would have to be half its asking price to make it worth considering. I could spend an entire article going into all the problems this tablet has, but I’ll spare you the torture. Just…skip this.”
2. Zone60 Game System ($19.88, CVS)
KNOCKOFF WARNING!! Don’t be fooled, this is not Nintendo Wii for $19.99! It’s a fake that will only make your kids hate you.
And, the worst Black Friday deal:
1. Cables and Accessories for those fancy TV’s you just bought
If that new HDTV and Blu-ray player didnt come with wires, dont get suckerd into buying a $40 HDMI cable that you can get for $3.
Avoid, at all costs, the Monster TV Accessory Bundle for $199 which features an 8′ HDMI cable ($5), Surge Protector ($20) and a cleaning kit (microfiber towel and water – $5). RIP OFF!
