‘Tis the season for holiday movies! After sitting through some real stinkers this year, it looks like the Christmas movie releases might make up for a lackluster year at the box office.
And while we still have a week to wait for the X-mas Day flicks, this weekend is shaping up to be pretty jolly.

Yahoo! Movies has the scoop on movies opening in wide release. Check ‘em out!

The Fighter

The FighterMark Wahlberg and Christian Bale star in the true story of boxer “Irish” Mickey Ward and his trainer brother Dick Eklund.

This looks super Oscar worthy and highly intense. Rocky meets Million Dollar Baby, maybe?

How Do You KNow

How Do You Know - Reese Witherspoon, Owen Wilson, Paul Rudd and Jack Nicholson star in the latest comedy from writer/director James L. Brooks.  It’s a romantic comedy centered on the love triangle between professional softball player Lisa Jorgenson, a corporate executive, and a major-league pitcher.

This flick looks like it could be this year’s It’s Complicated, but with a much younger cast.

TRON: Legacy

TRON: Legacy A tech-savvy young man finds himself pulled into the dangerous digital world where his father has been trapped for 20 years.

This will obvisously be the clear king of the box office this weekend. Let’s hope it holds up!
Yogi Bear

Yogi Bear The classic cartoon character must prove he really is “smarter than the average bear” to save Jellystone Park from closing forever.

Rounding out the weekend is this kid-friendly flick. Justin Timberlake and Dan Aykroyd seems like an odd pairing, but I’m sure it will be cute.
What are you going to see this weekend?
