When you’re a professional basketball player, height is pretty darn important. So how tall is Lebron James? He’s a whopping 6 ft 8 inches tall and is known as “King James.” Although it may seem like it, LeBron James is not one of the tallest NBA players of all time. That honor goes to Manute Bol (1985-1994) at 7′ 7″!

When it comes to swimming, being tall is not a requirement, but it can give you a major advantage. Taller swimmers have a greater wingspan and as we saw at the 2008 Olympic Games, MIchael Phelps used his height to his advantage and took home eight gold medals!

Tell me, have you ever seen a person that tall up close and personal? Just for the record, the tallest person I’ve ever seen in person is a friend of mine who is 6’7″ and he’s literally a giant. He gets stared at everywhere he goes. So I’d bet that LeBron James never gets any peace in public. Being ridiculously tall AND a sports star keeps him in the spotlight, but something tell me he likes it that way.
