Remember that cutie Landon Donovan who played for team USA over the summer in the World Cup? Well it looks like he may be on the market soon. Word has it that him and his wife Bianca Kajlich, who have been separated for over a year, have filed for divorce.
Get all the details after the jump!
Los Angeles Galaxy player Landon Donovan and Bianca Kajlich, best known for her role on Rules of Engagement, have been married for four years but finally threw in the towel yesterday citing irreconcilable differences. The divorce news put an end to speculation about Landon Donovan’s decision to not pursue a winter loan to a European club team this year in an effort to save his marriage.
According to Goal.com, Landon Donovan, who scored 7 goals and served up 16 assists in 2010, is looking for spousal support from Bianca Kajlich, while trying to terminate her ability to request spousal support and to force her to pay his attorney fees at the same time. Wait, why does a successful athlete need spousal support? Greedy greedy.
Things seemed to be looking up for the couple earlier this year until rumors of Landon Donovan’s love child with an unidentified British woman surfaced. As it turns out, Landon wasn’t the father but the damage had already been done. Although it’s not at all believable, the pair released a statement saying they “remain the closest of friends and will always be important parts of each other’s lives.” Right.
