The dead birds (and fish) have been the talk of the interwebs lately and the mystery has not yet been solved. As we’ve mentioned before, conspiracy theorists are having a field day with these dead birds and even if you aren’t buying any “out there” explanations, they are fun to read…

Check ‘em out after the jump!

If you’re in need of some entertainment this morning, you’ve come to the right place. Although the dead birds phenomenon isn’t a laughing matter, some of the conspiracy theories may make you laugh. Or freak you out entirely.

Here are two theories on the dead birds:

1. Author and theologian Steve Wohlberg thinks we’re in the End of Days and says there’s evidence to support his theories. He feels the birds falling from the sky phenomenon is “mysteriously interesting,” and part of a larger picture that indicates the world is spiraling downward towards its end, reports the Daily News. He continues, “I’m an observer of the times. The End of Days will have a parallel to the days of Noah…On the Earth today, there’s a lot of violence, and a lot of corruption. Indicators are flashing that there’s a storm ahead of us.”

Not sure what’s scarier–his beliefs or the fact that he hosts a nationally syndicated radio show and spreads his beliefs to others.

2. Many believe government coverups are to blame for the dead birds. A popular one points to the Alaska-based High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program (HAARP) that conducts ionospheric research but gets blamed for causing earthquakes and other seemingly natural occurrences.

Maybe the most refreshing take on the dead birds is from Growing Pains star and born-again Christian Kirk Cameron. He has preached the gospel anywhere he can and while you may think he’d take a doomsday approach, Cameron says,

You know, I’m not the religious conspiracy theorist go-to guy particularly. But I think it’s really kind of silly to try to equate birds falling out of the sky with some kind of an end-times theory. I think people just have a fascination with the religiously mysterious.

Maybe he’s not as crazy as everyone thinks.
