1. Volkswagen Passat (pictured above)

The new 2012 Passat will be made closer to home in Chattanooga, TN and will rival the Honda Accord, Mazda6, Kia Optima and the Toyota Camry. For the first time since 2005, Volkswagen will put a clean diesel TDI engine in the new Passat which will get 43 mpg, Volkswagen claims, and won’t have you returning to the pump for about 800 miles!

2. Ford C-Max
Maybe you’re in need of a new minivan? Check out the 2011 Ford C-Max for a hybrid minivan that’s been the talk of the Detroit Auto Show! It’s Ford’s first plug-in hybrid and will charge overnight via a 120-volt outlet. The cool part is that it has a range of over 500 miles before you have to recharge it, surpassing the Chevrolet Volt.

3. Toyota Prius V

If you’re a fan of the Prius, be sure to check out the newest addition to the hyprid lineup. The new Prius V (V is for versatility) has 50% more cargo room than the current Prius. The new model takes on the MPV shape that’s so popular with European families and seats five.
