Former NFL player Lawrence Taylor plead guilty today for sexual misconduct and patronizing a 16-year-old prostitute. These misdemeanors charges carry no jail time, but require him to register as a sex offender.

Taylor, a one time Nutrisystem spokesman and Dancing With The Stars alum will serve six years probation.

According to, Taylor said of his indiscretion:

She told me she was 19.

Taylor admitted having sex with the young girl, who was a prostitute and runaway. He said he paid her $300.

Defense attorney Arthur Aidala said Taylor decided the plea bargain was in everyone’s best interest.

Mr. Taylor’s not proud of what happened. He patronized a prostitute and that prostitute happened to be under the age of 17.

Like that makes it better?

Taylor was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1999 and has played in the Superbowl twice. In 2009, he competed in ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars.” Taylor’s sentencing is set for March 22.
