It seems that baby Krishna, the daughter of Top Chef host Padma Lakshmi, has been in the news more than her famous mom. Mostly it’s because she has such a unique name. Some love it , some hate it. In any case, this tug of war over the celebrity tot is not new.
Keep reading for more details.
Adam Dell, Krishna’s baby daddy (and brother of Michael Dell, the computer billionaire), has filed suit against Lakshmi over custody of their 11- month-old baby, Krishna. He claims he only gets to see her for seven hours a week and is fed up with Lakshmi not allowing him more time. So what’s a daddy to do?
He’s suing for dully custody.
According to the NY Post:
His lawyer, Bill Zabel, confirmed the filing and told us in a statement: “Adam Dell, above all else, wants to have an active and substantial role in the upbringing of his daughter with Padma Lakshmi. Unfortunately, Ms. Lakshmi has severely limited his time with their daughter and has refused to negotiate a reasonable co-parenting agreement. Mr. Dell has tried his best to avoid going to court, but Ms. Lakshmi has given him no other choice at this time.
Apparently, when Padma got preggers, everyone thought the dad was her beau, the super rich mogul Teddy Forstman. It makes sense, right? But, later it came out that the real baby daddy was Dell, whom she just had a fling with!
Padma and Teddy are going strong, too, and daddy Dell is annoyed that he has to fit his daddy/daughter time into Padma’s busy schedule – even going as far as flying to The Bahamas to visit his kid for just seven hours!!
A rep for Lakshmi said:
It appears to us that Mr. Dell remains more interested in garnering media attention than working out details to see Krishna or in her welfare.
Dell also wants Krishna to take his surname in addition to Lakshmi.
