When you’re a rocker and you’re no longer rockin’, what do you do? Write a book, of course! Former Van Halen frontman, Sammy Hagar, penned a memoir entitled Red: My Uncensored Life in Rock which details his escapades in drugs, rock and roll, hair metal and more.

Sammy Hagar, 63, lived life in the fast lane for years and details all of his “sex, drugs & rock roll” life in his new book. He doesn’t hold back and wrote on sex tents, cocaine and even ripped on David Lee Roth, whom Hagar took over for in 1985. Sound like an interesting read?
Hagar has been promoting Red: My Uncensored Life in Rock all over and one story about aliens has fans everywhere wondering what to believe. In the book, he says it was a dream but apparently, it was not:
‘Remember the story in the book, where I have a dream about being contacted by aliens in the foothills above Fontana?’ he asked the MTV interviewer. ‘That’s right. It was real. [Aliens] were plugged into me. It was a download situation. This was long before computers or any kind of wireless. There weren’t even wireless telephones. Looking back now, it was like, ‘F**k, they downloaded something into me!’ Or they uploaded something from my brain, like an experiment. See what this guy knows.’
Strangely enough, that wasn’t the only time Sammy Hagar came face to face with extraterrestrials:
Another thing happened when I was about four that I didn’t put into the book. One time I saw what I considered to be, well, at the time I thought it was a car with no wheels. We lived out in the country and I saw this thing floating across a field, creating this big dust storm. I threw rocks at it and shit. And I don’t know what happened after that.
So is Sammy Hagar concocting wild alien stories to help sell his book or are they real? He certainly gives you something to think about. Red: My Uncensored Life in Rock is out now. Buy your copy on Amazon!
