So how can you show your support on Earth Day? We know living a green lifestyle isn’t always easy, but with these ideas, you’ll be well on your way!
Here are some Earth Day activities to get you started:
–Plant a tree. Trees effectively remove CO2 from the atmosphere.
–Walk instead of drive!
–Upgrade your home appliances to more energy efficient models.
–Consider becoming a vegetarian. According to the Worldwatch Institute, 51% of the world’s total emissions come from dairy and meat production.
–Unable to get outside today? The Green World Campaign is working to plant trees in environmentally damaged areas of the world such as Kenya. By texting “TREE” to 85944, you can help make a difference by increase biodiversity and providing economic self-sufficiency for communities in need. Each text costs $5 and will go towards planting five trees.
