Meghan McCain, outspoken daughter of John McCain, is not the type of woman to shy away from what she believes in and her new skin cancer public service announcement is no exception. The PSA, which also features Tatyana Ali, Brandy and Danielle Fishel, raises awareness for skin cancer prevention. The message is solid and they all look gorgeous although Glenn Beck took the opportunity to pick a major bone with Meghan McCain.
What did he say? Read on!
The premise behind the “naked” theme has to do with leaving the house without sunscreen. The message is, “If you leave the house without sunscreen, you might as well be naked.” Although she looks rather naked in the PSA (watch it below), Meghan says she wore a nude colored Juicy tube dress.
None other than Glenn Beck commented Wednesday on the Meghan McCain PSA and said, “Put some extra clothes on,” while making vomiting sounds, “Like, lots of extra clothes… has she thought about a burqa, just to be extra safe?” Dude just doesn’t know when to shut his mouth!
The daughter of the former presidential hopeful fired back (via SheKnows):
Clearly you have a problem with me, and possibly women in general, but the truth is, it’s 2011 and I heard your show on Fox was canceled. Isn’t that an indication that the era of the shock jock pundit is over? There really is no need to make something like my participation in a skin cancer PSA into a sexist rant about my weight and physical appearance, because I’m going to let you in on a little secret, Glenn: You are the only one who looks bad in this scenario, and at the end of the day you have helped me generate publicity for my skin cancer PSA, a cause that I feel quite passionate about.
Good point! Take THAT, Glenn!
