Dogs love you unconditionally and always know how to make you smile. If you’ve ever experienced the loss of a pet, you know the pain is just as real as losing a human loved one. Jennifer Aniston is dealing with this now after losing her Welsh corgi-terrier mix, Norman. He was 15 years old.

Get more after the jump!

Norman was Jennifer Aniston’s shadow and was often found on set with her while working. The actress spoke with People.com, ‘He’s my baby boy. Norman goes with me on location — I’ve got to take Norman.’ When she asked him to sit while at a taping of Chelsea Lately and he wasn’t having it, Aniston explained, “He’s 15 years old, he doesn’t care anymore.”

There’s no question that Jennifer Aniston loved Norman with all her heart. She even purchased her nearly $5 million New York apartment in Norman’s name, Norman’s Nest Trust. As for his personality, Aniston said he was a fantastic dog:

Even back [as a puppy] he was as cool as a cucumber. He’s just a person in a dog suit.

Will Jennifer Aniston be getting another dog? Your guess is as good as mine, but for now, she has another pooch too look after. Her other dog, Dolly, a white German shepherd, will hopefully serve as a good distraction.

RIP Norman.
