The season premiere of America’s Got Talent was last night and viewers saw everything from a corny dancer and a medieval sword fight to two guys falling off stage. Aside from the total misses, the show packed in a ton of more than worthy acts. Will this season of America’s Got Talent be just as hot as X Factor? If ratings mean anything, all signs point to yes. Read on for the details!

Now that American Idol is over, it’s time for a new addiction to take over your TV and for many of us, that new show is America’s Got Talent. The show, hosted by Nick Cannon and judged by Piers Morgan, Sharon Osborne and Howie Mandel, premiered last night and topped ratings with nearly 15 million viewers.

For anyone in the dark, America’s Got Talent is a talent competition on NBC without age limits featuring everything from singing and dancing and magic to more bizarre acts like swan diving into a shallow baby pool. It’s quite a spectacle and you’ll never know what’s coming up next.

In case you missed it, here are a few highlights from America’s Got Talent:

1. Ryan Andreas — Although nervous, his rendition of Sarah McLachlan’s Angel blew us away!

2. Team iLuminate — Totally unique, these dancers pulled of a high tech routine that is like nothing you’ve ever seen!

3. SH’Boss Boys — Cutie pie triplets who rapped about kid stuff. Check ‘em out:
