Watching golf on TV seems to divide people into two categories — either you’re fascinated by the game and can’t pull yourself away from the TV or you’re so utterly bored that you’d rather watch paint dry. If you’re in the former, catch the US Open 2011 golf action today and tomorrow on ESPN from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. ET and then on NBC from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. ET. Then click back over to ESPN for the last hour of coverage, from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. ET. Yah, the coverage is a little all over the place, but you can set your DVR.
Over the weekend, catch live coverage of the second major golf tournament of the season on NBC from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. ET on Saturday and then again starting at 1:30 p.m. ET on Sunday.
Oh, and what about Tiger Woods? He’ll be missing the US Open for the first time in his career:
I was hopeful that I could play, but if I did, I risk further damage to my left leg. My knee and Achilles tendon are not fully healed.
The final round of the US Open will be played on Father’s Day. Not able to tune in to TV coverage? Catch the US Open 2011 online with live streaming from ESPN3 all weekend long.
