The Daily Local News says the the five-bedroom and three-and-a-half-bath farmhouse is 175 years old and is located at 1175 Meetinghouse Road in Chester County. You can check out the 16-acre property on Google Earth. Why’s the Marley and Me house for sale? It’s an empty nest, say the owners John Ennis, an attorney, and Lisa Taylor Ennis, a fine-arts photographer. Their three children are all grown up.
If you haven’t seen the film, you may want to check it out but only if you can handle the tears. It’s based on John Grogan’s memoir Marley & Me and is a film dog owners can relate to. It features the sweet yet naughty at times yellow Labrador retriever, Marley and Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston star.
Like any piece of Hollywood, the prospective buyer should be ready for gawkers. John Ennis told the newspaper:
A whole load of kids and parents will jump out of the car and snap photos in front of Marley’s house. People are polite and discreet. They don’t want to meet us. They just want to see Marley’s house.
