Word came today that the U.S. Supreme Court upheld a ruling denying the descendants of the late ex-Playboy Playmates estate, which was previously awarded to her from Smith’s oil baron sugar daddy, J. Howard Marshall.
The amount in question? $89 million plus.

So, what does this mean for those in Anna’s camp? Well, it means that Dannielynn, the adorable daughter of Anna that lost her mom when she was just days old is NOT entitled to J. Howard Marshall’s estate, even though she was Anna’s sole hier (after losing her older son, Danny, just days before her death).
In a 5 to 4 vote, the justices sided with the Marshall clan which claimed that Smith was entitled to not one penny of Marshall’s $1.6 billion fortune. The verdict caps a 15-year legal battle that began in 1996, when the blonde bombshell sued her stepson Pierce Marshall for half his father’s millions, claiming the elder Marshall promised to leave her $300 million.
Anna Nicole Smith put in hard time for that cash, too. She met the oil magnate when she was a 25-year-old stripper. He was 85. That’s a 63-year age difference. They married in 1994, only to have Marshall kick the bucket 14 months later. The kicker? He left Anna out of his will.
Even after Marshall’s son died in 2006 AND Anna’s death in 2007, Marshall’s family continued the fight so no heir of Anna’s would walk away with anything.
