Kelly Kapur is getting a serious promotion come Fall. The sassy assistant at Dunder Mifflin is getting her own show. Well, not exactly. It’s actually Mindy Kaling that will be moving over to Fox, after the network picked up a new series created by the “The Office” star/writer/producer.

Fox ordered in all, three new sitcoms – including Kaling’s much-anticipated project called “It’s Messy.” The ever talented Kaling will write, executive produce and star as a young doctor with “Bridget Jones”-like tendencies who’s trying to get her life in order, personally and professionally.

Fellow funny people Chris Messina, Anna Camp, Ed Weeks, Zoe Jarmon and Dana DeLorenzo will co-star. So, does this new gig mean Kelly Kapoor will quit The Office? Well, duh! Wouldn’t you!
