The event – Beach Lesbian & Gay Pride Festival – was held over the weekend in Long Beach California. Ms. Latifah was a speaker at the event, where made it known that she not only supports gay pride, but is a proud member of the LGBT community herself, saying that she “has been waiting to do this for a long time.”
