“The Amazing Spider-Man” has already pulled in $75.5 million since opening Tuesday, so you can pretty much assume that this flick is going to blast the rest of the movies out of the box office water. People are saying it’s estimated to take in a total of $150 million through the weekend! If the Andrew Garfield/Emma Stone reboot of the Toby Mcguire/Kirsten Dunst original isn’t your thing, there are a couple of other flicks that might fit your fancy.

If you’ve already gotten your Spidey fill, and from the look of the box office numbers you have, check out the gritty drug and crime drama, “Savages,” directed by Oliver Stone. It stars an ensemble cast, including John Travolta and Blake Lively.
The third movie of note opening this weekend is the documentary “Katy Perry: Part of Me.” You’d think this would be a bubblegum pop party from start to finish, but the doc actually goes a bit deeper, chronicling the singer’s life on and off stage and her failing marriage to brit funnyman Russell Brand.
