Robert Blake kinda went nuts on Piers Morgan during a bizarre interview on CNN Wednesday night.

Blake was acting super weird and kept referreing to Morgan as “Charlie Potatoes!”

Keep reading for more on Robert Blake’s odd behavior… after the jump!

Morgan had to actually ask Blake if he sane. Blake’s reply? “The truth is I think I’m sort of a mutation, or a subspecies. I think If I was born 10,000 years ago, I would have taken two or three people, run off and started another tribe.”

Blake went on the show to talk about his new book, Tales of a Rascal, so he really lost it when Morgan brought up his acquittal in the 2001 murder of his wife.

I’ll get you son of a bitches later, but don’t think you’re going to get off the hook. I was supposed to die in that cell, wasn’t I, you bastards. Well, I didn’t die, and you didn’t get your book deal, you mothers. I wrote a book about you, so you’ll have to go out and rip some other celebrity ’til he’s dead, then you can write a book about him.

I’m thinking that was Blake last appearance on that show!

You’ve quoted him totally out of context and any video search on what he said and when he said it to Piers is easily available to anyone in order to verfiy what you’re suggesting. And clearly what you are suggesting is WRONG. He did NOT say that to Charlie Potatos, he was directing it to the two police detectives who tried to use his arrest to get themselves book deals ( which they DID do but the judge castigated them for it just like he did for detective Ito dragging ‘journalists’ to crime scenes that had not been closed down – a serious police no-no ).

You join the ranks of media who choose to toss their credibility aside in favor of creating a furer; who disgrace any notion whatsoever of journalist ethics in favor of ‘views’ or ‘ratings’; you disrespect your subjects and topics in a myriad of ways that are obvious to any casual observer but seem to escape the notice of yourselves. Is this really the group of glitzzeratti you want to join? Abandon any thought of telling people you’re a writer of any kind if you’d rather play the part of an empty headed moron.

Piers had Blake on under the pretense of asking him about his book. Blake was at one time nominated one of the top 5 actors IN THE WORLD, and that’s from the English press who are notoriously snobby about American actors. Blake really DOES have a rare acting talent but Piers fixated on something that was tried and done and in the context of BLAKE’S life, those years are a small slice of 80 years on this earth.

Finally, Piers ratings were and are in the shitter and everyone knows it. Whatever Larry King built, Piers has pissed on and undermined. And Blake is right…Piers IS boring and he IS a ‘charlie potatos’ ( old school slang for ‘superficial snob’ ). With Blake’s interview, Piers view ratings went ballistic over night. He won’t be reproducing that any time soon and I hope Blake never steps foot on that jackasses show again.

As for you…are you big enough to, unlike Morgan, actually DO research on a topic before you recycle already polluted facts or will you join lockstep with the ratings fiends who don’t care who they destroy so long as someone is paying attention? Isn’t that the very definition of an attention whore?
