Dallas Cowboys rookie Dez Bryant saw his stock fall in this year’s NFL draft due to character issues. His teammates certainly can’t say much about his character after the former Oklahoma State University player spent $55,000 on a steak dinner for his buds.
According to the Dallas News, Bryant and his teammates apparently tweeted about the dinner as it occurred.
“I’m here eating drinking with my dogs I go to war with every Sunday doing it big at pappas steakhouse!!!!” Bryant wrote via Twitter. Read More
The Bears, a team that no one truly knew what to expect from coming off a less-than-stellar preseason and a sloppy win over Detroit to start the season, capitalized on some costly Green Bay penalties and mistakes to remain undefeated and alone atop the NFC Central. Read More
GRASS VALLEY, CA: A tragic accident has left a community in mourning and has led to a Bear River High School student’s death. Justin Butler, 16, was using his Bowflex exercise machine in his home Sunday night when something went wrong. Somehow this star athlete became entangled in the Bowflex machine and was found barely alive by his parents shortly after. There aren’t many details surrounding the bizarre incident, but it appears it was simply an accident. Justin Butler was airlifted to a nearby hospital but died the next day.
Lieutenant Joe Salivar of the Nevada County Sheriff’s Department dispelled rumors that have taken hold in the community,
There is no information or evidence to suggest the death was a result of a football injury. There is no information or evidence to suggest in any way the victim was trying purposefully to hurt himself or end his own life.
Last night was no exception, as the Peyton-powered Indianapolis Colts dismantled the New York Giants 38-14.
Peyton had three touchdowns and 255 yards while Lil’ Eli had 161 yards and a bunch of wedgies. Read More
Football players acting badly is nothing new, but New York Giants running back Brandon Jacobs just couldn't handle himself last night against the Indianapolis Colts and flung his helmet ten rows up into the stands. Or was this an accident? Jacobs could have seriously injured someone, but insists that the incident was just an accident. He explains, "I was frustrated and went to throw it down on the ground, and it got caught on my finger and went into (the stands). I apologize for that. It was frustration on my part." The Giants' 38-14 loss last night was embarrassing but Brandon Jacobs' helmet flinging takes the cake and was arguably his most athletic play of the entire night. No one can say for sure if this was an accident as Jacobs stated or a split-second decision on his part to let off some steam. After the incident, he didn't play much in theRead More
For example, you can send something like this to some girl you like: ”Hey I think you’re totally hot and I’ve been checking you out while you do your shopping” and she’ll call the cops and be like “This dude is harassing me!”
Ugh, one cannot underestimate the power of a “:)” The smiley face totally negates whatever message you just sent. Know it. Use it.
University of Florida WR Chris Rainey apparently didn’t use a smiley face when he texted a girl he’d been dating “time to die,” which prompted her to call the police and Rainey to get brought up on charges of aggravated stalking.
