Russian tennis star Maria Sharapova and Lakers guard Sasha Vujacic are engaged, says Vujacic and Sharapova’s agent. The news was reported by TMZ yesterday and they say that Sasha Vujacic proposed last Tuesday in his Manhattan Beach, California home. P.S. as one would expect, Maria’s diamond ring is HUGE!
Sasha Vujacic, 26, and Maria Sharapova, 23, met a year ago at a friend’s barbecue and got engaged on their one year anniversary. Vujacic confirmed the engagement Thursday:
We are engaged and are both really happy. It’s good and now we can focus on other things…It was probably old school. I had to do it like a gentlemen.
Is Reese Witherspoon engaged to Jim Toth or not? Your guess is as good as the next person’s. Celeb fanatics everywhere have been speculating on the pair’s engagement status but Reese’s rep told People.com that “they are not engaged.” But reps don’t always tell the truth, do they?
Once married to Ryan Philippe (divorced in 2007), Reese Witherspoon, 34, seems enamored with talent agent Jim Toth, 40. Reese and Jim have been together since January shortly after her split from Jake Gyllenhaal. A source close to the couple spoke with People:
Jim knows Reese is the one for him. It’s what he’s been waiting for. [Getting engaged] is a natural step for them but they’re not in a rush. There’s no deadline, no timetable. But it’s something in the future.
Season 4 of Millionaire Matchmaker premiered last night on Bravo and featured Bryce Gruber, a 26-year-old spoiled princess according to Bravo’s website, who just can’t seem to find Mr. Right.
If you’ve never seen the show, it follows self-proclaimed matchmaker Patti Stanger as she tries to set up wealthy clients with suitable mates. In last night’s episode, we see that Patti and her team have left Los Angeles and set up shop in the Big Apple. To kick things off, Bryce Gruber gets vajazzled. Vajazzling is a personal grooming trend in which rhinestones are applied down there in various patterns. Sound cool? Check out Bryce’s video below and see for yourself. Not sure how this will help her find a man, but it did keep my interest.
When doing research for a multi-million dollar film, especially one that’s based on a true story, you’d think Hollywood would do its research. Well, it seems that someone was asleep on the job over on the set of the new Hilary Swank film, Conviction, and family members of a murder victim portrayed in the film are lashing out.
Leona Gage, one of the most memorable Miss USA winners, has died in Los Angeles at the age of 71. Leona Gage was crowned Miss USA in 1957 only to have her title stripped the next day after pageant officials learned that she was married with two children.
The rules were strict back then and Leona Gage spoke to reporters after her win blatantly lying. “I want to wait until I’m 26 before I become seriously interested in the opposite sex,” she said. The day after her win, the truth came out and the public learned she had been married twice (at the age of 14!), had a second child at age 16 and was 18 years old, not 21.
Leona Gage hid her pregnancy for as long as she could and told The Sun,
To my mother, that was the biggest scandal there could be. All my life, she said, ‘Don’t you dare go into the bushes with a boy and get yourself pregnant.’
Authorities said 10 people were injured in a rollercoaster accident Thursday at Knott’s Berry Farm in Orange County, California, according to NBC News.
According to NBC, Knott’s spokeswoman Jennifer Blazey told the Orange County Register that a train leaving the station didn’t make it over the first hill and rolled back into another train. One person who was getting into a waiting train and nine people on the train that rolled back were injured.
Makes you want to get on a roller coaster, doesn’t it? I mean, sure, this kind of thing happens once in a blue moon, but still, it happens.
There is Law And Order: Special Victims Unit, Law And Order: Criminal Intent, and now the latest addition to the L&O universe -- Law And Order: Los Angeles. Season one kicked off last night on NBC, and not surprisingly, did well. The original series Law And Order was created by Dick Wolf back in 1990 and takes place in New York City. The drama is real and you can't help but stay glued to your TV watching the storylines unfold. Lasting 20 seasons, the series marks the longest running police drama in television history. Naturally, it would make sense for the networks to test a new spinoff. Law And Order Los Angeles draws viewers in from the start and gives them all the violence and drama they need to be fully satisfied by the time credits roll. The characters seem realistic, but Los Angeles is a far cry from New YorkRead More
