When Regis Philbin announced that he was set to retire from morning television, audiences and producers had no idea who would replace him as the permanent co-host of the show that would no longer be known as Live! With Regis And Kelly. And since Philbin’s final episode, ratings have dipped dramatically as the seat next to Ripa has become a revolving door for guest hosts Jerry Seinfeld, Josh Groban and her husband, Mark Consuelos — just as it was when Kathie Lee Gifford first departed the show and Ripa tried out her soap opera acting chops on live morning television.
However, after taking a second and more fair look, the ratings of Live! With Kelly look quite good…in fact, they’re better than when Philbin was sitting beside her! More details after the jump.
